Scranton, PA– Grasshopper Lawns Inc., member of The National Association of Landscape Professionals (NALP), will show their commitment to caring for our nation’s green spaces with their involvement in a national NALP event, the NALP “Day of Service”. Grasshopper Lawns, Inc. has participated in the event for over 10 years. The “Day of Service” takes place on Earth Day in an effort to demonstrate environmental devotion and humanitarianism by giving back to our individual communities.
Grasshopper Lawns Inc. will give back to their community this year by donating time and services to the grounds at the Lackawanna County Courthouse. The event is scheduled for Friday, April 22nd at 12:00 pm at 200 N Washington Ave., Scranton, PA 18503. Community members are welcome to come and watch the Grasshopper Team in action. “The purpose of this event is to rejuvenate areas where we live, work, and play- to plow the way as environmental leaders. We look forward to Day of Service every year,” commented Michael Kravitsky IV, owner of Grasshopper Lawns Inc. The family owned and operated business has participated in the event since it originated in 2005. “Our yearly donation includes aeration, fertilizing, weed control, and other services. Overall, it’s a pretty solid startup for any lawn in the spring. We do this not only to improve our local grounds, but because it bonds our company and the community,” Kravitsky said.
