Get Lasting Results With Our 7-Step Program
At Grasshopper Lawns, we pride ourselves on our comprehensive 7-Step Lawn Care Program designed to elevate the health and beauty of your landscape. Our program starts with understanding your lawn's needs, followed by a tailored approach that includes a "weed & feed" service for thickening your grass. Here is how it works:
- Spring: We kickstart your lawn's journey with a balanced granular/liquid fertilizer application, along with broadleaf weed control and pre-emergent grass control.
- Early Summer: We provide a second dose of balanced granular/liquid fertilizer, along with broadleaf weed control and pre-emergent crabgrass control.
- Grub & Surface Insect Control: We introduce preventative grub control to shield your lawn from these destructive pests, safeguarding vital nutrients and preserving its health.
- Summer: Our fourth visit includes a comprehensive application of balanced granular/liquid fertilizer, broadleaf weed control, surface insect control, and nutsedge control.
- Fall: We apply balanced granular/liquid fertilization and broadleaf weed control to sustain the health and appearance of your lawn.
- Winterizer: As the season progresses, we provide an application of granular/liquid fertilizer, winter root stimulator, and broadleaf weed control.
- Soil Acidity Reduction: This final round includes a lime treatment to optimize soil acidity, setting the stage for a successful transition into the next growing season.
For this program, we typically begin in early March and continue through early December. Fertilizer applications occur about every six weeks. We also offer a 5-step program that does not include grub control or lime treatments; call us today to learn more!

Boost Your Lawn's Vigor With a Lime Treatment
Lime is used to sweeten or increase the pH level of acidic soils. When soil becomes too acidic, it creates an unsuitable environment for grass. Lime “unlocks” valuable minerals in your soil such as phosphorus, needed for good root growth. It also helps to control thatch, that thick layer of dead stems and roots that choke out your lawn. Our annual lime treatment is a crucial component of our lawn care services, ensuring your turf thrives in an optimal soil environment. Call Grasshopper to determine whether your lawn needs lime!
Protect Your Grass With Grub Control
Are you noticing brown patches on your lawn? These could be a sign of grubs quietly destroying your grass from beneath. At Grasshopper Lawns, we offer preventative grub control, providing an effective solution to protect and revive your lawn. Here’s what comes with this service:
- A free estimate
- Highly effective, comprehensive treatment
- Ongoing grub prevention
- Family and pet-friendly treatments
- And more!
